Great interview with former Shooto champion and Combat Submission Wrestling innovator Erik Paulson. In this interview. Erik talks about working with Brock Lesnar on the set of The Ultimate Fighter, why the UFC’s dominance is good for the sport, and the importance of traditional martial arts in MMA. There’s quite a bit of catch wrestling in CSW, and I like the way the editor spliced in some of Erik’s training to show that, along some footage from his fights. Erik has alsowritten a book, Rough and Tumble, about the history of catch wrestling.
