Lewis Rumsey vs. Zachary Klouse added as co-main event to CPWC 13 in York

In addition to the main event of John Flock vs. Vincent Courts at Central Pennsylvania Warrior Challenge 13 on Sept. 17 in York, promoter Mark Jovich has added a second big bout, making them co-main events: PA’s Lewis “The Beast” Rumsey vs. NC’s Zachary Klouse.

Rumsey, (5-6), who trains out of Williamsport, PA’s Team Vicious, has been a fixture at CPWC events, going back to his amateur days. Rumsey may not have the best record, but one thing fans can be sure of: He comes to fight, every single time. Rumsey was off to a shaky start with his pro career, going 1-5, before taking a trip out west and training with Matt Hughes’ H.I.T. Squad. The change definitely did Rumsey good, as he rattled off four straight wins upon his return. Rumsey’s streak came to a halt when he met Gemiyale Adkins at Locked in the Cage – Thursday Night Fights 2 on Aug. 4, losing by decision. Rumsey is comfortable in nearly all aspects of the game, and really pushes the pace — kind of like a bigger Clay Guida.

Klouse, who trains out of Team Huskey in North Carolina, is 3-0 as a pro. Klouse has fought in Pennsylvania before, defeating Terrill Leech at CPWC X in February in York, by decision. Klouse’ team uses catch wrestling as their groundfighting style. Trainer Johnny Huskey’s mentor, Billy Wicks, is an old-time carny wrestler, where, before wrestling became fake, would take on all comers in real wrestling matches in local carnivals. Klouse will enjoy a two-inch height advantage over Rumsey, and probably a weight advantage, since he is listed as 225. Wherever the fight goes, this one is sure to satisfy.
