Constantinos Philippou, who went 7-1-1 at New Jersey-based promotion Ring of Combat, knocked out Jared Hamman last night at UFC 140 in a preliminary bout seen on ION tv.
The KO by punches came at 3:11 of round 1, and was also aired on the PPV broadcast following the Ortiz vs. Nogueira fight.
Philippou trains in Long Island as part of the Serra-Longo Fight Team.
In early 2010, Philippou first made his appearance in the UFC on The Ultimate Fighter: Team Liddell vs. Team Ortiz. However, he never made it as part of the cast to move into the house after losing to Joseph Henle via submission in the opening elimination bout, according to his wikipedia bio.
However, Philippou was signed by the UFC about a yearlater, and is now looking at a 2-1 record in the octagon.
