PA CageFight will hold CageFight 10 at the Woodlands in Wilkes-Barre on Feb. 10, according to promoter Jonathan Kernis. The promotion, where UFC featherweight Jimy “The Kid” Hettes got his start, has consistently showcased the best talent in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.
In addition, Hettes and pro fighter Kris “Savage” McCray will be at CageFight 10, Kernis said.
In a battle of undefeated fighters, local favorite Martin Wojnarowski (5-0) returns after nearly a year off from competition to defend his amateur light-heavyweight title against the 3-0 Eric Roncoroni, who hails from New Jersey.
Fireworks are expected in a battle between welterweights Ian Brofsky (2-1) and Dave Spadell Jr. (5-4). Brofsky is known for his ground game, but has promised to take the fight wherever it naturally goes against the heavy-handed Spadell.
In the event’s two pro fights, Joe Fye makes his pro debut against John Swangler, who has gone 0-7 as a pro, and Mike Bannon, who is 1-0 as a pro, fights the experienced Noe Quintanilla, who has an 11-12 record.
In the night’s only heavyweight fight, the debuting Chris Colson takes on the 2-2 Mark “The Cat Smasher” Krumrine.
