The York Mixed Martial Arts Academy will be hosting in Master George Panagiotakos (a Pablo Popovitch black belt) on May 4th and 5th for seminar work shops that will accommodate material for all ages, men – women – children, and experience levels. This extremely affordable seminar will be one that you truly will not want to miss. More details below!
The May 5th open belt work shop will be for beginners – intermediate – and advanced students alike. The seminar is currently scheduled to focus more on Gi training (Uniform), but we suggest that all participants bring both Gi and No Gi training apparel in the event that Master George should care to “change gears”, so to speak. There will also be a ‘high belt work shop’ that will take place the night before (May 4th), and that work shop will be geared towards purple belts and above. Note: Though the Friday night ‘high belt work shop’ is currently scheduled for high belts, it is potentially subjected to change to accommodate blue belts as well should the Saturday pre–registration sheet fill up as anticipated.
May 4th (Friday night high belt work shop) : This work shop is again designed for high belts to get more in depth – sophisticated material that may be a step ahead of the beginners that will be attending the following day (Saturday). The high belts can expect more advanced material, some Q & A time (questions and answers) and some one on one roll time with both Master George, and other participating high belts. I think most would agree that we as high belts or school owners do not always get the one on one time that we need with other high belts, and instructors, so this is a chance for you accomplish both. The ‘high belt’ work shop is a perfect opportunity to visit our place to train, learn some new material, cordially roll with other high belts from other teams, network, discuss business, and to simply enjoy the comradely amongst other school owners and experienced trainers – practitioners.
