Tons of fights going on tonight. First, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, we have Maximum Fighting Championships' "Long Time Coming" event. Two titles are on the line as LHW Champ Roger "The Hulk" Hollett defends against Emanuel "Hard Core" Newton and Pat "Bam Bam" Healy meets the challenge of Ryan Ford.

In addition, John Alessio locks horns with Paul Daley. The latest on this is that Daley was over the welterweight limit by several pounds, but Alessio, ever the warrior, took the fight anway, although he could have declined. To see this event, you have to get HDNet.

A hemisphere away, Brazilian MMA promotion FuryFC is staging their seventh show, "Final Combat" featuring former PRIDE fighter Antonio "Nino Elvis" Schembri against Mauro "Xuxa" Chimento Jr. To see the show live on sherdog, click here.

HDNET FIGHTS ANNOUNCES DEAL WITH FEG USA, INC. FOR RIGHTS TO AIR K-1 EVENTS IN NORTH AMERICA; EXTENDS DEAL TO AIR DREAM EVENTS

Deal brings the world famous combat sport, K-1 exclusively to HDNet in 2009

HDNet Fights announced today that it is partnering with FEG USA, Inc. to bring the extremely popular K-1 World Grand Prix and K-1 World MAX tournaments to HDNet. K-1 is an electrifying form of kickboxing that combines techniques from various martial arts disciplines. HDNet will be the exclusive home of K-1 in North America.

The show runs Fridays at 9:30 p.m., but only if you have HDNet. I'm going to try to get better about posting the shows here on a regular basis.

Looks like another stacked card. Contrary to earlier reports, Atencio says no one at Affliction had even spoken with Tito Ortiz about a contract, so we'll see if that changes in the near future.
