About this blog

I'm Amy Gulli, the day metro editor at the York Daily Record/Sunday News. When I'm not at work, I'm mommy to two wonderful kids. My daughter, Samantha (in the photo above), was born in July 2003, and she quickly taught me that being a mommy is the hardest thing I will ever do in my life. Mr. Noah (in the photo below) was born on Christmas Day 2007, and HE quickly taught me to abandon all attempts at housekeeping.

Momnesia
USA Today had a great article about the reality of “Momnesia.” Click here to read the story. YAY! It’s so nice to know that my memory lapses are not because I’m getting older, which is totally what I attributed it … Continue reading

My dirty little secret
I recently took a new job here in the newsroom, largely in an attempt to find a better work-life balance. I’ll be working slightly fewer hours, and I’ll take home a whole lot less work every night. It’s still a … Continue reading

Stop me if you’ve heard this
I’m not sure why, but Sam can’t hear me. I mean, sure, sometimes she hears the words that come out of my mouth. But it’s like there’s a wall of Marshmallow Fluff somewhere behind her ears that just absorbs most … Continue reading

Just a little stress
So I woke up with the flu Wednesday morning. Fever. Aches all over. Sweating, followed by chills. Stomach cramps. It was oh so pleasant. And I had to take Mr. Noah to an appointment with a pediatric surgeon. I found … Continue reading
