About this blog

I'm Amy Gulli, the day metro editor at the York Daily Record/Sunday News. When I'm not at work, I'm mommy to two wonderful kids. My daughter, Samantha (in the photo above), was born in July 2003, and she quickly taught me that being a mommy is the hardest thing I will ever do in my life. Mr. Noah (in the photo below) was born on Christmas Day 2007, and HE quickly taught me to abandon all attempts at housekeeping.

My new favorite thing
I discovered about a week and a half ago how to make Noah belly-laugh. While I was changing his diaper, I tickled him along his ribs, and he smiled and giggled a little. So I tried again, and he smiled … Continue reading

This is not a confession
Somebody sent me this link the other day, and I just had to share it. I think the first picture with the kids in the toy car is my favorite. Yes, we’ve all had those moments we’re really glad no … Continue reading

Sure, I’m paying attention
When Sam was a baby, I knew how old she was down to the week and the day. As in, “She’s 13 weeks and 4 days old.” And I knew every milestone or skill she was supposed to have hit … Continue reading

Are they kidding?
OK, so I’ve had some sort of hacking, phlegmy cough for almost three weeks now, and I’ve been through a bevy of over-the-counter medications to deal with it. Can I just say how much I hate feeling like a drug … Continue reading

It’s a little late, but …
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY! Hope all of you mommies got at least a few special moments either by yourself or with your kids Sunday. I got a very cool digital picture frame — and two kids with nasty coughs and fevers. … Continue reading

Awwwwww
Here’s a new pic of my baby. It has only recently occurred to me that he won’t be a helpless baby for much longer — he’s going to be sitting up and crawling and getting into everything in just a … Continue reading
