Yet another milestone
I think it's official: Sam has become as good an artist as I am.
Here are some recent drawings:

This is baby Noah. I don't think he has quite that much hair, but who's nitpicking?

This is a butterfly. I particularly enjoy his smile.

And this is an ankylosaurus, which is a dinosaur that had spikes along its sides and a big club-like ball on its tail. I was surprised she drew this one because it's the only one in her recent set of 16 new plastic dinosaurs that she said she didn't like because it was scary.
And now, I'd like to point out the my husband refuses to play Pictionary with me because he can't identify anything I draw.
This does not offend me. I am woman enough to admit that my artistic abilities have grown very little since second grade. What I'm picturing in my head is just not what comes out when I move the crayon or marker or paintbrush around.
Glad to see that this is, so far, not the case for the mini, brown-haired version of me.
