Many of you probably got this by e-mail, but I just had to share it. The whole thing could be a hoax, but it's definitely a hoax perpetrated by a mom who's been there.
Supposedly, a class of second-graders was given a homework assignment to draw of picture titled "When I Grow Up ..." And this is what one little girl, named Sarah Smith, drew:
Looks like a stripper on stage around a pole, with men handing her money, right?
I got this image a few months ago, and I laughed, then discussed with my mom what this girl's life must be like.
Well, according to the new e-mail, the picture doesn't show this mommy dancing for cash. It says the mom wrote this note to her daughter's teacher:
"Dear Mrs. Jones,
I wish to clarify that I am not now, nor have I ever been, an exotic dancer. I work at Home Depot and I told Sarah how hectic it was last week before the blizzard hit. I told her we sold out every single shovel we had. Then I found one more in the back room, and several people were fighting over who would get it. Sarah's picture does NOT show me dancing around a pole. It's supposed to depict me selling the last snow shovel we had at Home Depot. From now on I will remember to check her homework more thoroughly before she turns it in.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Smith"
Like I said, I don't know if it's true, but that's freaking funny.
Have a great day!
