Saw this tonight at a local mall and just had to share.
A little girl, maybe 4 or 5, was standing in front of the "House of the Dead" video game, a toy gun in each hand, firing away at the screen while a woman -- who I'm perhaps incorrectly assuming was her mom -- was filming away with her camera.
Maybe she was helping her daughter through a fear of monsters by making her feel empowered? Maybe they often have zombies with missing arms and gaping maws trudging toward their house?
I don't think I want to know. But I am pretty sure this disqualifies her mom from this year's Mom of the Year award.
OK, so I've had some sort of hacking, phlegmy cough for almost three weeks now, and I've been through a bevy of over-the-counter medications to deal with it.
Can I just say how much I hate feeling like a drug dealer every time I try to buy a medication that is LEGAL? Seriously, this whole thing has gotten out of hand.

Hope all of you mommies got at least a few special moments either by yourself or with your kids Sunday.
I got a very cool digital picture frame -- and two kids with nasty coughs and fevers. *smile* It's probably the thing that makes me feel most mommy-like anyway.
Anybody else think it's just odd to see Goofy -- who is, of course, a dog -- throwing a ball to play fetch with Pluto -- who is, of course, a dog?
Maybe I'm reading too much into it. But it keeps reminding me of the part in George Orwell's "Animal Farm" when the pigs, who have taken over the farm, post a sign that says, "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others."
Anyway, it bugs me.
