Five links to start your day off right: Part of a complete, balanced breakfast.

  • Director/fugative/creeper Roman Polanski was caught at the Zurich airport Saturday. (He faces charges of having sex with a 13-year-old girl and York native in 1977.)

  • SNL newbie Jenny Slate upstaged Megan Fox and U2 on Saturday's episode by dropping the F-bomb. (Maybe Lorne Michaels will drop another F-Bomb on her: Fired.)

  • Conan O'Brien was injured on set during a stunt. (As if slapstick will help his sinking ratings.)

  • The sneak peek to Michael Jackson's "This Is It" movie sold out in two hours in Los Angeles. (Two hours? Is Michael mania wearing off?)

  • Sign up to win one of three pairs of tickets to "The War of the Worlds" and "The Lost World" Oct. 25 show at the Pullo Center.
  • First look: Michael Jackson's 'This Is It'

The trailer for Michael Jackson's movie about his tour debuted at the MTV VMAs Sunday. It looks amazing, but it's sad that the singer died before he revealed the show to the world. The film hits theaters Oct. 28. Watch Janet Jackson's VMA tribute performance.

    The eternal moonwalk

In honor of the late King of Pop, here's one place where Michael Jackon's moonwalk lives on. Click here.

For the real thing, though, only one person can truly get it right.

Michael Jackson's memorial ended with a tribute from his family. USA Today quoted his daughter Paris, 11, as she remembered her father. (Photo: AP)

"Ever since I was born, daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine," she said, surrounded by aunts Janet and La Toya Jackson. "And I just want to say I love him so much."

The Senfts were touched by Paris' words:

Text message from Dylan at 4:21 p.m.: The end was awesome when they brought all the family on stage and spoke and sang. My dad and I cried when his daughter spoke.

    Touching tribute

    At the Staples Center...

The ceremony is about to begin. We got another text from the Senfts:

Text from Dylan at 12:53 p.m: We got to our seats- just to the right of the stage maybe 50 ft away at most. They gave everyone an awesome program with a bunch of pictures and messages from his family and friends.

Locals head to Michael Jackson memorial

West Manchester Township residents Dan and Dylan Senft are sitting in traffic en route to the Staples Center in Los Angeles for Michael Jackson's memorial. Follow along during the day as they live text the event. (Photo: AP)

Text from Dylan at 12:26 p.m: traffic is terrible and they said the family and body are just leaving forest lawn to come to staples center. At this point they said (the ceremony) will start at least a half hour late...

    Weekend roundup

    What if Andy Roddick won?
    1. Got sunburned laying out by the pool. (My "Summer Skin" hurts.)
    2. Attended the annual family Fourth of July picnic. (Ate dirt and played old-school Sorry!)
    3. Had a mini Michael Jackson tribute on my parents' turntable.
    4. Watched the memorable Wimbeldon men's final. (Were the pre-made commercials for Roger Federer's 15th win in poor taste?)
    5. Started season two of "The Wire." (What else should I watch this summer?)

    Weekend roundup

bet.jpeg 1. Went to the Revs game/ Battle of the Bands Friday. (Read the live twitter feed.)

    2. Didn't get tickets to this concert. (Summer bummer)

    3. Saw an old classic ("The Philadelphia Story") and a new classic ("Empire Records").

    4. Spent more time hanging out at the White Rose. (It might be habit forming.)

    5. Caught a little bit of the BET Awards/Michael Jackson tribute. (Click here for more.)

The King of pop is dead and now so is the King of OxiClean. R.I.P. Billy Mays. The infomercial world won't be the same without his booming voice and immaculate beard.

The King of Pop died Thursday afternoon after being rushed to the hospital by paramedics. He was 50. From the L.A. Times:

Updated at 3:15 p.m.: Pop star Michael Jackson was pronounced dead by doctors this afternoon after arriving at a hospital in a deep coma, city and law enforcement sources told The Times.

Updated at 2:46 p.m.: Jackson is in a coma and family have are arriving at his bedside, a law enforcement source told The Times.

He was born Aug. 29, 1958, the seventh child of the Jackson family. He hit the stage at 11 and started his solo career in 1971. He's one of the few artists to have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice. He won 13 Grammy Awards, had 13 number one singles in his solo career and sold more than 750 million albums worldwide. He raised millions of dollars for charity, but in the early 90s he came under controversy when child abuse allegations surfaced. Recently, Jackson plotted a comeback he was scheduled to to perform 50 sell out concerts to over one million people, at London's O2 arena. Watch his videos here.

    Michael Jackson hospitalized

    |

According to a Los Angeles Times blog, King of Pop Michael Jackson was rushed to a hospital this afternoon.

Paramedics responded to a call at Jackson's home around 12:26 p.m. He was not breathing when they arrived. The parademics performed CPR and took him to UCLA Medical Center.

Some sources are reporting he had a heart attack. Stay tuned for an update. I guess the comeback is in jeopardy.

    Michael Jackson: The final countdown

    Back in black (and sparkles!)
It's on like "Thriller" in the '80s. The "King of Pop," aka Michael Jackson, is pulling a Britney.

He held a press conference Thursday to announce that he'll give his "final curtain call" at 10 July concert dates in London's O2 Arena. I might actually be pulling for him. He's actually sounding looking OK these days. Thoughts?
