Vanity plates part 22

Plate22.jpg My friend and I spotted this car in the parking lot of the West Shore Farmer's Market one Saturday when we decided to go there for lunch after our morning spinning class. When we went inside, we saw our cycle class instructor. We're betting the car was his because he was pretty intense!

Remember Alf?

alf.jpegConnie Smith of Manchester sent me this license plate picture she snapped while in Mechanicsburg on June 19.

vette.JPG I spotted this one in the parking lot of my dentist's office earlier this week. Pretty self-explanatory, huh? (or should I say -- ahh!)

License plate fun contagious

|

I'm proud say that my posts of license plates and funny signs are inspiring readers of this blog to pay a bit more attention when they're out and about.

Here are two license plates that people have spotted recently and sent to me for posting here.run.jpegThis one was spotted by YDR religion reporter Melissa Burke during a morning run near mile marker 20 of the Heritage Rail Trail County Park in York. She said a lot of runners meditate while they run or get into a zen-like state.hntr.jpegMy sister Amy sent me this one she saw in the parking lot of Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill on her way to a checkup for my second niece, Lucia, who should arrive in the next few weeks!

Plate20.jpgBeen saving this one to publish today. Wonder if this was a present some Mother's Day past?

Vanity plates part 19

|

Plate19.jpgAww, makes your heart go pitter-patter. Not a government plate, so I guess we can rule out this car as belonging to the state tourism director or some such?

Plate18.jpgAny ideas what this one is about? Or do you think they literally just really like rice?

Plate16.jpgFound this one in the alley behind my house a while back. I have no idea who it belongs to or who they're shushing.

I'm wishing the dog that barks all the time for no reason could read it...

placa15.jpgHere's another one that plays off the model of the vehicle. Clever, huh?

Have you seen any other plates that play off a vehicle's model name?

placa14.jpgCruised by this one in the parking lot of the LA Fitness in Camp Hill. The car does kind of look like a pod, no?

Plate12.JPGSpotted this one outside the Appalachain Brewing Co. a while back when I went to meet some friends. Ghost hunter? What do you think?

Plate11.JPG Do you think her name is Peg or if those are her initials? Also, for the record, it was a man driving the car! (I couldn't help but look to see what Mrs. Peg looked like!)

Vanity plates, installment 11

Plate20-V.jpg
Maybe it was Cupid's doing, but earlier this week, I was daydreaming at a red light on Route 30 when I noticed this car and license plate idling in front of me. So, here's your Valentine's Day installment of the vanity plates series. I'm wondering why someone would get this plate. Anyone have any ideas?

Vanity plates part 10

Plate10.JPGYou knew you'd see this on here sooner or later. I've seen this one around town, but never had an opportunity to snap a picture of it. Clever.

Plate9.JPG Is this one implying that the owner is a born-again Christian? That he was never a child? Help me out...

Sign with attitude

|

park.JPGI've been meaning to post this sign for a while now, but never got around to it. I first discovered it in August, when I came to look at the house I now live in. The sign belongs to my neighbor. It's posted on his garage door, which faces an alley.

Such a sign is especially important on two days of the year: Jubilee Day and the evening of Mechanicsburg's annual Halloween Parade. The lady who lived next to my old apartment had a no parking sign, too, but I like this one better because it has attitude!

Vanity plates part 8

Plate8.JPGWhat's this one trying to say? Why would you put this on your plate?

Vanity plates part 7

Plate7.JPGCute.

Vanity plates part 6

P1020109.JPG At first, I thought this was a play on the tropical drink, the Mai Tai. Then, I realized that this Dodge Caravan is the owner's toy.
