Not too long ago, I posted a video of Aaron Tru, who works for MMAPrime.tv, getting choked unconscious by Cris "Cyborg" Santos. In this video, Tru gets put through a Cyborg workout. Warning: the end is sick, I mean, literally, sick.

This aired during Strikeforce's Fedor vs. Rogers event. Looked like Rogers got more shots in on the video game than in the real thing.

Saturday's Jake Shields vs. Jason "Mayhem" Miller fight saw a great tactical war waged on the ground. Shields has superb jits, but Miller proved to be a worthy adversary, and although Shields maintained the majority of the ground control, he could never seem to slap anything solid on the slippery Mayhem.

-- First of all, I didn't catch the prelims, so I'm not sure how entertaining they were. Go to sherdog to look at the play-by-play if you're interested. They should still have it up on their site.

-- Werdum and Silva was a good, competitive fight. Werdum caught Silva with some hard shots, but Silva has an enormous chin that withstood those shots. Silva gave it Werdum as well, and I knew it would be a close one, I thought a split decision, rather than a unanimous one, for Werdum. What's next for him? Well, I'd say maybe he gets Rogers, because I think Overeem and Fedor will fight next, maybe in the spring? Don't know why, but big fights take a while to put together it seems.

-- I was surprised at Sokoudjou. I didn't think he would last that long against Mousasi. I think maybe Mousasi underestimated Soko and his improved ground game. It just seems that standing Soko is nervous, very jittery, like he's afraid to get hit, and that's definitely understandable.

Natedogg1788, a member of Sherdog's forums, said, "i snuck into the arena and was able to catch Jason Miller practicing his entrance," and put up this link. It's what we would expect from Miller, who's every bit a showman as he is a fighter.

The picture's a little shaky ... well, more than a little, but it's the only video I could find. Man, I can't wait for this one.

Steven Soderbergh wants to bring a sense of realism back to the action/spy genre, starting with the casting of mixed martial artist Gina Carano as his leading lady in his upcoming film, Knockout.

In Knockout, Carano will play a woman with incomparable hand-to-hand fighting skills, who gets hired by the government and subsequently involved in a globe-trotting plotline. Although the project may sound similar to James Bond or Jason Bourne's exploits, there will be more logic involved, especially with regards to high-speed pursuit, Soderbergh told MTV.

This guy knocked out Jaosn High with a head kick and now I just heard he's been signed by Strikeforce. Good acquisition for SF - this guy's a terror.
