Forgot to mention that Hanover's Chrissy Adler is also fighting for the interim heavyweight title at Operation Octagon on 8/15:

Bob Bitner, head trainer at Hanover, recently wrote on Team Tap or Sleep's wall on facebook.

First thing he announced was that tonight, Ryan Harder fights at Onslaught Fights in Winchester Virginia.

Harder is in the main event, defending his 135-pound title, at Operation Octagon in Manassas Virginia on Aug 15:

Larry Novak, owner of new Cumberland-based Tattoo Fightwear, sent me an email that he's added two more fighters to his stable, both of whom are scheduled to fight at the Central Pennsylvania Warrior Challenge II on July 18 at Wisehaven in York Township.

First, we have a guy who's gotten a lot of face time here recently, Kevin Michael Flinchbaugh:

And also lightweight-welterweight fighter out of Charlie "The Spaniard" Brenneman's hometown of Hollidaysburg, Jeff Runk, who scored a unanimous decision victory over Brett Evans of Slomske's MMA Team at the WKU Warrior Challenge:

Flinchbaugh

Recently, I blogged about a rematch between Kevin Michael Flinchbaugh and Phil Meck at Central Pennsylvania Warrior Challenge II on July 18 at Wisehaven in York Township. Well, looks like that fight is off for now.

Here's Kevin messaging me on myspace: "Hope you didn't get to excited for my rematch lol, Phil Meck has been medically disqualified to fight. so for the time being its not going to happen. I was offered two other fights, but im not sure what im doing yet. Hopefully ill get the rematch whenever he gets cleared."

I then talked with promoter Mark Jovich who confirmed what Kevin said. "His doctor won't clear him to fight," Jovich said of Meck. Unfortunate, because I'm sure both fighters were ready to go at it again - they definitely gave it their all the first time around.

Here's another update on tickets for the return of the Central Pennsylvania Warrior Challenge to Wisehaven - promoter Mark Jovich tells me there are about 100 tickets left. Get 'em while you can. Click here to go to the CPWC Web site, then go to the left-hand column and click "Ticket Information."

Got a myspace message from Kevin Michael Flinchbaugh a couple days ago, who had a back-and-forth three-round draw with Philip Meck of Get Real Martial Arts in Lancaster at the first Central Pennsylvania Warrior Challenge: "Get ready for my rematch with phil meck. I've switched schools and have been training with Hanover Academy of Mixed Martial Arts."

Mark Jovich tells me there's still a few tickets left if you want to attend the Central Pennsylvania Warrior Challenge II at Wisehaven on July 18. Get your tickets here. The card is stacked with talented local fighters, and there are two re-matches from the last show. It should be an awesome show, as the first history-making event was, and there's not a bad seat in the house.
