I used to think this company was exemplary until they totally mishandled a situation with one of there residents. They placed to individuals in the same house and these two individuals had numerous altercations. Instead of putting them in different houses the continued to have them live under the same roof. Long story short, one housemate was arrested for harassing and stalking the other. After making bail the arrested individual was taken back to the same residence which led up to yet another altercation. As a result, the individual which was on probation had bail revoked and now sits in YCP. The prison stated the was not escorted to the prison by staff of TLC so they did not realize the individual was nonverbal. TLC has cut off all contract with this individual and his family. After notifying the family that bail had been revoked the family was told “He is in a better place now.” This individual sat in prison for almost a week before anyone notified his public defender. His family had to do their own investigating to find out who his public defender was or what charges the individual is facing. People with intellectual disabilities depend on TLC to have their best interest at heart. They need to be held responsible for putting this young man in a bad situation time and time again.
