Family First Health will host a free screening of ‘The Waiting Room’ at 6:20 p.m. Aug. 13 at York Little Theatre.
“The Waiting Room” goes behind doors of a U.S. public hospital struggling to care for a community of largely uninsured patients. The film offers a raw, intimate, and uplifting look at how patients, staff and caregivers cope with disease, bureaucracy and difficult choices.
National Health Center Week — Aug. 11 to Aug. 17 — aims to showcase how health centers are changing and improving to benefit the health of communities. Celebrating America’s Health Centers: Transforming Healthcare in our Local Communities is this year’s theme.
