We have recently launched York Wiki, an online encyclopedia for all things York County.
What's a wiki? To quote Wikipedia, it's "a medium which can be edited by anyone with access to it, and provides an easy method for linking from one page to another. Wikis are typically collaborative websites."
York Wiki is fledgling site. There's not much content at all there right now. That's where you come in. Post a YorkWiki page for your business, your club or organization, your school, yourself or even your favorite local hangout. Link to your own site and to other people's wikis to share even more information. It's free, and anyone can make an update.
I'll be posting starter pages on a lot of things that make York County what it is - its phrases, its places, its customs - in the coming months. You can feel free to modify those entries, add to them, link to them and, of course, create new ones.
If you're interested in helping but aren't sure where to begin, post a comment here and I'll get back to you with instructions on how to get started.
The main York County page is a good framework - each of those municipalities, for example, needs a page created for it. So jump on board, and let's see if we really can make the one-stop shop for all the info you need on York County. What do you think?

Hi Joni,
Let me know if you get this comment. I've added comments to your posts before but I haven't been sure if you've gotten them (specifically in the Yorkisms).
As for this post, I would definitely be interested to add our businesses to the York Wiki. Let me know the best way to go about that.
Talk to you soon!
Adriane
Hi Joni,
I would also like to add the Yorktown Craft Guild to York Wiki. Let me know how to do that.
Thanks,
Lynn
