Man, I'm awful at keeping secrets, so it feels so good to be able to tell you to check out the new York Daily Record/Sunday News online.
We've been working on this for months, and now that's it live, we've got a few more changes to make as we go. But I'm hoping you'll find this new look better for a lot of reasons.
1. It's bigger. Our figures show that most of you view our site with a resolution at least 1000 pixels wide. Our old site only took up 800 pixels. That meant all the pages were narrow and long. Now, we're making the best use of the space we have.
2. A better home page. Our old home page made you click away to see the latest highlights in sports, business, opinion and living. Now, you can get the highlights from all your sections in one place.
3. Lots of RSS feeds. Those are those little orange icons all over our blogs, forums and news site. They mean you can "subscribe," using one of several newsreaders, to the latest headlines. Short explanation? We bring the news to you instead of making you come to us.
4. Better design. There are dynamic elements on many of the pages, bigger photos in a lot of areas, and more ways to get where you're going.
And that's just a start. I could go on all day. And more good stuff is coming over the next couple of weeks. I'm going to bite my tongue for now, but all I can say is, keep watching - I think you'll like it.
(And I wasn't kidding about that bad-at-secrets thing. I've already tried to give my husband his Christmas presents that I bought a few weekends ago.)

I love what you did to highlight the blog offerings. Too cool!
Nice job on the Web site. I especially like the slide show on the upper left-hand side, with stories of the day. (do NOT give those gifts early!).
Now if you could get a better, faster server. It's not my computers fault either.
If only you could get the comments link to show up consistently! Thats all I ask
