Gearing up for shopping season

Daily Record/Sunday News - Christopher Glass

Flashback: The Springettsbury Township Target got mobbed when the doors opened at 7 a.m. on Black Friday of 2000.

So I'm starting to notice the holiday sales ads are out in full force already, as of this Sunday's paper... While I'll be going Black Friday shopping this year (the first time in ages!), I also got a jump on my holiday shopping already. I'm a big fan of buying books at Ollie's for Christmas gifts, and that's worked out well so far. I also got my husband something during the big "pre-holiday" sales at the Galleria a couple of weekends ago.

Did you start shopping yet? Are you going out on Black Friday? Where?

You haven't gone in ages? I have one piece of advice for you.

Run. The other direction. Very fast:)

In other news, I'll be heading to bear camp in Centre County this Sunday, to Maryland deer camp in Caroline County next Friday, and to PA deer camp the following Sunday, although I'm not sure where I'm going just yet.

I'll catch ya later. I gotta hunt up some work to do:)

Just stumbled across your blog. I am a native Yorker and while I now live in Upper Dauphin County, I will be traveling to York for my early morning and nearly crazy Black Friday shopping. I must be one of those nuts...just not the edible kind.
