Getting crafty

| | Comments (1)

The York Town Craft Guild launched its new Web site last month, at www.ytcg.org.

You can find all sorts of things there, from how to join the group to upcoming workshops and programs.

I think it's great to have so many artisans at work locally, and I'm glad we have such a well-organized group in support of their efforts.

And the great thing is, membership is open to all who are interested in crafts, from those who enjoy but don't create to professional artisans. Dues are $30 a year for most people; $20 yearly for senior citizens and full-time students.

The York Town Craft Guild aka ytcg is york county's best kept secret. We have been in York for 60 years promoting crafts. Crafts range from all aspects - fine pottery, weaving, woodcarving, basket making, quilting, silversmithing, glass bead making, stained glass. All levels of expertise are welcome from I want to know more - to this is my full time job and I make a living out of it. Members have recieved the highest awards available in their field MANY York artists took their first class at the guild and now have their own studio's. Please support the guild in any way you can be it financial, time or just taking about it.
