The "Sunflower Chips" are the latest addition to the company’s Snacking Smart line, which was created in 2006 to showcase products that contain healthy advantages such as reduced fat, no cholesterol and low sodium levels.
The new goodies are made of whole grains of corn, rice, oats and wheat, and cooked in 100 percent pure sunflower oil. That means no trans fats, and a serving of chips even counts as a good source of whole grains. They come in three flavors - original, cheddar cheese and french onion.
“We know that consumers are much more knowledgeable about what they eat and are interested, now more than ever, in snacking healthier,” said Dylan Lissette, the company's executive vice president of sales and marketing. “That’s what Sunflower Chips deliver, and with all of the taste and quality that people expect from Utz.”
If you see them in the store, let me know where, and what flavor you try. I'll be on the lookout for them too - I'm a sucker for salty snacks. Don't tell Michele.

I wonder if they taste like Sun Chips. Which, for some reason, have been missing from the vending machine for a few weeks. Who do we talk to about that?
