Daily Record/Sunday News photographer Paul Kuehnel, who runs the Green Mesh blog, is going to be a moderator for a panel discussion on "Environmentalism in York" at 7 p.m. Thursday at Martin Library.

Paul will be joined in his moderation efforts by York College's E.C.O. The objective of the event, according to the library system, is "to experience information on environmental topics and empower people to become more in tune with their environment and seek solutions."

Panel participants are:
· Elizabeth Kepley, environmental educator at Gifford Pinchot State Park
· Mark Platts, Lancaster-York Heritage Region
· Liz Winand, Shank’s Mare Outfitters at the Susquehanna River
· State Rep. Eugene DePasquale
· Michael Helfrich, Lower Susquehanna River Keeper
· Bob Astor, Shipley Fuels Marketing, LLC
· Benjamin Caire, United Biofuels

The event is sponsored by freshyorkpa.com. Registration is accepted at Martin Library, online at go.yorklibraries.org, or by phone at 846-5300, ext. 440.

So go out and support Paul, and learn more about how to make York County a brighter place while you're at it!
