Krinkle-Cut.jpgNo-Salt-BBQ.jpg

Heard from Utz on Friday about two new chips they have out.

The no-salt-added barbecue chips have only the sodium that comes naturally from the potatoes, no more. The company has been making a no-salt-added chip since 1993, and the new chips are the latest addition to Utz’s Snacking Smart line. That was created in 2006 and features more than 40 products that contain healthy advantages such as reduced fat, no cholesterol and low sodium levels.

Meanwhile, the new Kettle Classics krinkle cut chips follow the Kettle Classics recipe, hand-cooked in pure peanut oil for extra crunchiness without any preservatives or trans-fats. These have a slightly thicker cut and the addition of ridges.

Besides the new Krinkle Cut, the Kettle Classics line also features regular, reduced-fat regular, Smokin’ Sweet, sweet potato, jalapeno, salt and malt vinegar, and dark russet flavors.

If you see them in our local stores, let me know so I can try them out. I love a good chip...
