Happy Labor Day!
For the first time in... wow, I don't even want to think how long ... I'm off for a holiday!
I was off Sunday, too, so I have a rare two-day weekend. (I normally am off Sundays and Wednesdays, which is great in that it breaks up the week but not so great in that I never have two days together off.)
Anyone doing anything fun for the holiday? Going to the parade at Kiwanis Lake or up to Kipona in Harrisburg? Today is the last day you can look for letterboxes, so we will probably finish up our quest for all 30 of those (only 4 to go!)

Spent the day cleaning up some lily gardens in the morning and making Paula Deane's flourless peanut butter cookies in the afternoon. They're more like peanut butter taffy than a cookie! But I still ate some and took the rest to the Dover Firemen's Fair tonight where I was working the Greater Dover Historical Society's display. Confession--I did eat a hot dog with kraut for dinner there tonight. Sorry-cannot resist that kraut.
I also worked Saturday night and had some of the firemen's hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. Very good.
Saturday I was in Juniata Co. at an estate sale and bought the very best plums at a farmer's market and have been inhaling them since getting home. Wonderful fruit but I did enjoy that dog tonight.
