Want to carve your own virtual jack-o'-lantern? Go here. You "carve" it, and when you click "done," it lights up like mine above.

If you want tips on how to carve a non-virtual pumpkin, or if you're looking for a last-minute costume for the kids tonight, check out FlipSidePA.com's Halloween section.

And no matter what, if you're going trick-or-treating tonight... stay safe! I'll have photos of Sarah (who is going as a skeleton) in a couple of days.

Here's my skeleton story for this Halloween: Wednesday I was driving east on Market Street past Fuddrucker's where there was a skeleton standing at the bus stop. Forty-five minutes later, after a trip to Henry's, I pulled into a parking space at East York Target, got out of my car and started walking to the store. OMG--there stood that same skeleton, in front of the store, smoking a ciggie! I'm saying to myself--it has to be Halloween, right?

My name is Joan and I'm a lifelong Yorker. Throughout high school and college, I swore I was getting out of here as soon as possible. Now, a few years later, I can't think of anywhere I'd rather be. I love my town. And, as a local editor, I hear every day how much you love your towns, too. So please, connect with me and let's share what makes life in York County great. I'm here to help you enjoy this place as much as I do!
