Guess where I'm going in exactly a month?

On Dec. 4, I get to hear David Byrne play at the Strand!

Hubby got tickets for us as a joint birthday present.

For those of you who don't know, David is a co-founder of the Talking Heads, and he's done some great solo work musically and in art. I last heard him in Harrisburg in 2004 as part of his last concert tour.

He's seriously my favorite musician ever. I'm seriously debating getting a tattoo in the coming months, and the top choice right now is a line from one of his songs.

Don't suppose there are other Byrne fans out there reading this, are there?

Hi Joni,

Talking Heads rock! A word to the wise about tattoos: never get a tattoo of anything that you wouldn't paint on the side of your house. What I mean is that what seems like a cool idea today may be an embarrassment tomorrow. Also consider hepatitis C, which which I am quite familiar with due to Bob's long, unhappy experience. Not nice at all (and from a tattoo.) But if you are set on it, good luck!

Love your blog! And I love David also! We are currently in the process of moving to York and I didn't realize David was coming to The Strand...I may have to come out and catch the show!
