For those of you who don't know the staffers of the York Daily Record, we're an eclectic bunch. One of the most unusual among us is Tom Joyce, our political reporter.

Tom's a good guy, and this weekend, something not-so-good happened to him. You have to read it to believe it, but his blog post title says a lot: Smashing Pumpkins.
