Reader photo: 1900s farmhouse and family

Another reader photo of an “Only in York County” sight, but this one is from the past, not present-day York County:
oldfarmhouse.jpg
What: A house in about 1900 at “Benroy” on the Camp Betty Washington Road. Submitted by: Carla Reinecker of Red Lion
Something unusual: Carla submitted a series of photos from around that area; this location is now the site of Billet’s Garage, she said.

About Joan

My name is Joan and I'm a lifelong Yorker. Throughout high school and college, I swore I was getting out of here as soon as possible. Now, a few years later, I can't think of anywhere I'd rather be. I love my town, and I hear every day from readers who love their towns, too. So please, connect with me and let's share what makes life in York County great. I'm here to help you enjoy this place as much as I do!

  1. Jo says:

Billet’s garage? Might that be the husband of the Sara Billet in your calendar I sent. They live on Camp Betty Washington Rd. where his garage is located.
