Print your own York County Christmas coloring book!

Here’s some, uh, trippy Technicolor Christmas fun for you and yours this Christmas: A 1982 coloring book given out to children visiting Santa at malls across the country, including the West Manchester Mall.

I found my copy at a local estate sale. You can see the front and back covers above – and as a special bonus, I’ve scanned the entire comic-book-style story, so that you can print it out and enjoy coloring scenes like “Santa gives Hairhed a baby buggy in trade for his Christmas sock.” (Wait’ll you see Hairhed…)

Download your copy here!

And, if you would like to see some TRUE Christmas art (not cartoon aliens), I encourage you to check out my husband’s post from this week on Papergreat, where she shares a festive Christmas matchbook from D.F. Stauffer Biscuit Co. of York!

Merry Christmas!

About Joan

My name is Joan and I'm a lifelong Yorker. Throughout high school and college, I swore I was getting out of here as soon as possible. Now, a few years later, I can't think of anywhere I'd rather be. I love my town, and I hear every day from readers who love their towns, too. So please, connect with me and let's share what makes life in York County great. I'm here to help you enjoy this place as much as I do!

  1. Betsy Baird says:

You know, Joan: I used to collect matchbooks. Well, they are now all gone.
Threw all out, finally. I even bought a box of them at a yard sale. Mainly of
Ireland. The people selling them seemed surprised they were able to!
