Dover/West York: March 2009 Archives

Yesterday's sudden hail storm and possible tornado were among our biggest stories online this weekend. I was off for the day, celebrating Sarah's birthday with family at a game-playing party, and we couldn't believe it when the hail suddenly started falling.

The interesting thing here is, this is LESS THAN A MINUTE after it started hailing!

Thankfully, we avoided the major damage faced by many people around York County.

OK, so who got their free Rita's Water Ice yesterday for the first day of spring? I didn't. Too cold! I did wait in line last year, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it this time.

Meanwhile, in honor of spring (?), I have some more photos to share with you... these of our March 2 snowstorm. My hope is that by posting them, I'll ward off any further cold weather!

Sarah had the day off from school because of the weather, and she and Coby had a lot of fun running around in the yard. Here, they're taking a break on our deck:
