Awesome clothes

tiffybeach.jpgJust because I can, I wanted to make a special post showing off the work of my friend Tiffypop, an East Berlin native who's roaming the country selling her way-cool, handmade clothes at shows and festivals.

(And, a little birdie tells me she's getting MARRIED this month, too!)

I was thinking of Tiffy today because I'm wearing one of her "swirly skirts," patterned after some hippie classics. The picture is Tiffy on the beach, wearing one of the swirlies.

Shameless promotion: Check out her Etsy store if you want to order any of her homemade goodies yourself.

No, she's not paying me to do this. I'm just soooo comfy in this swirly today that I wanted to share the love.

Welcome to Hanover

Next in a series of profiles originally published by the Daily Record in 2002, from Census 2000 information.

Welcome to Hanover, where 11.5 percent of residents had no cars at the time of the census. That placed the municipality third-highest in percentage in the county, behind only Railroad and York.

Up next will be East Prospect!

Food AND online goodness

Another fun York County web site to check out: Utz Quality Foods

My favorite are the rippled Sour Cream and Onion. I like the kind you can buy at the outlet or the grocery store, but if you're familiar with the "Farmer's Market version" - the ones that come out of the big can at the market, and get put into the wax-paper-like bags? - those are the supreme.

So that I don't get bashed, I'll say that I do like Martin's too, especially the barbecue, but I'm an Utz girl. Which do you like better? Comment!!
