I don't know how to describe it except that it felt like home.
Joan's randomness: August 2007 Archives
People who know me well would probably describe both my fashion sense and my music tastes as eclectic. I'm skater shoes and classic rock, hippie skirts and Christian contemporary, Wranglers and Wynona. And probably some of everything in between.
I look at both clothes and music as ways to tell the world who I am.
So, if you've been reading this blog and learning a little about me, it shouldn't come as a surprise that I'm a huge fan of Little Big Town's newest song, where the title of this post comes from.
Did y'all/yinz/youins/youse (pick your poison) miss me?
I thought I had everything set up just great - I was on vacation for two weeks, but I set up posts to go up on various days while I was gone. "They'll never know I was out of the office!" I thought.
And that went smoothly. But when I got back, the parade of "this has to be done yesterday" stuff got in the way, and I ended up with a lapse anyway.
Best laid plans, and all that.
Anyway, I'm back now, and soon, I'll have observations on the fun games of rural York County (chicken table, anyone?) and the ways in which we're frighteningly similar to the dozens of small towns my family stopped by on our 12-state, two-country road trip.
Stay tuned!
