A one-year-old beagle was found badly beaten in Delta Monday evening and had to be euthanized state police said this morning.
The beagle was owned by Robin Deere, 37, of Delta. According to police, Deere found the dog in the area of Main Street around 8:30 p.m. with a broken leg and shoulder. It appears the animal was struck with a blunt object.
