June is "Adopt A Shelter Cat" month. What better way to celebrate the furry felines in our lives than to say thank you to the animal shelters and rescues that care for these precious pets?
Houston SPCA was named Shelter of the Year by the ASPCA because of its cutting-edge community programs, such as a 24-hour ambulance and rescue service for injured animals, free vaccination and sterilizations program for pets of the indigent and elderly, and free temporary boarding for the pets of families fleeing domestic abuse situations.
