From Team NestleBestly:
Success of the PawsAbilities event, held annually at the State Farm Show Complex, has grown tremendously the past three years since the addition of the Keystone DockDogs. DockDogs has become the premier canine sports spectacle.
This was the year that Angie Jones hoped Nestle, her Chocolate Labrador Retriever, would make his mark by proving his versatility at PawsAbilities.
Fellow Keystone DockDogs Club member Dodi Conrad from Red Lion and her black lab, Reggie won the All Around by nudging out Tim Kline and Bella of New Cumberland by one point. Reggie won Extreme vertical, and placed second in both Speed Retrieve and Big Air. Bella, a yellow lab, won the Speed Retrieve, and finished behind Reggie in Extreme Vertical and placed forth in Big Air. The overall winner of Big Air was Rob Dedora and Seven. Seven is a huge jumping German Shorthair Pointer from Huntington Station, New York.
Angie’s rescue dog, Mercy a black lab mix, continues to be a work in progress. Mercy, who made the finals in the Junior Divisional Final at the National Championship in October, is working through some performance anxiety issues. Mercy completed 3 measured jumps. Her best of the weekend was 10’4”. She’s young and its Angie’s hope that with maturity Mercy will display the same confidence she has at the practice dock in the competitive arena.
The next competition for Team NestleBestly will be in Virginia Beach, Virginia the weekend of April 26-27. This will be a National event.
