From Farm Animal Rights Movement:
World Farm Animals Day is Oct. 2. It’s a day for compassionate people to expose, mourn and memorialize the more than 58 billion cows, pigs, turkeys, chickens and other land animals who are brutalized and killed each year in the world’s farms and slaughterhouses.
Activists around the globe are staging dramatic protests, die-ins and vigils to drawn attention to the atrocities of raising animals for food.
Other advocates are coordination information tables and leafletting events.
