Horses & Hogs event to benefit Omega Horse Rescue

Horses & Hogs with Moe Rock and 105.7 the X, a benefit to help Omega Horse Rescue of Airville, Chanceford Township, will be 2 to 8 p.m. June 11 at Karen’s Harmony Hall, 1400 Fulling Mill Road, Middletown.

Omega Horse Rescue was formerly known as Lost & Found Horse Rescue of Jacobus.

The outdoor music concert will feature eight bands playing all-original music. The bands include Burn Halo, Fools For Rowan, Super Bob, Scarlet Carson, 1 Echo 1, Along Those Lines, Dive and Robbing Noll.

The event also will include a motorcycle poker run from the Drinkin Bone in Wormleysburg, starting at 11 a.m. Entry fee of $30 for the poker run gets you a breakfast buffet, express entry to the concert and eligibility for prizes for high and low hands.

There will be beer on tap, with a collector cup; proceeds go to the rescue. Plus Blue Moon, Michelob Ultra, Corona, Twisted tea, Mike’s Hard Lemonade and several full cash bars around the grounds. Food available will include pulled-pork barbecue, hamburgers and hot dogs.

Jocks from 105.7 The X will be on hand. Event T-shirts will be available for purchase, with proceeds also going to the rescue.

No horses will be included in the event.

Concert tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at door and are available at the X studios, Karen’s Harmony Hall, Drinkin Bone, Press Start Games or from Moe Rock. Tickets are also available online for a small fee at www.missiontix.com.

Omega Horse Rescue and Rehabilitation Center has moved to a new location that will better allow them to help more animals. This event is to raise money to help the rescue with costs of building a new main barn, a quarantine barn and fencing; plus everyday costs of feed, bedding, vet bills, blacksmiths and auction rescues.
