- Personalized Greyhounds Inc. adopters and greyhounds will greet families from 11 a.m. t 3 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at the York Galleria, off the Mount Zion Road Exit of Route 30, in Springettsbury Township (York, PA). Adopters will answer questions about living with retired racers and how to adopt greyhounds as pets. The group has a few dogs in foster homes that are currently available for adoption and you are welcome to find out more about them. - Stop by Sawyers, 210 N. Second St., Harrisburg, PA, through Friday to watch local artists turn plain doghouses into works of art during the Dog Days of Summer Doghouse Painting Competition. The finished doghouses will be on display at Artsfest this weekend, and you can help to choose the winners. Proceeds benefit Central Pennsylvania Animal Alliance.
