This week, NFL legend Daryl “Moose” Johnston will be heading to New Orleans with his 3-year-old Labrador retriever, Gunner, for the first-ever Purina Pro Plan Canine Combine. Moose and Gunner have been working hard to put together a spectacular display of canine athleticism for the event, which takes place Jan. 30.
For the past several weeks, Johnston and Gunner could be found in the backyard of their Dallas home working through a complex training routine that included flying-disc tosses and high-speed agility drills. Moose and Gunner have spent countless hours training with the new, revolutionary P5 app created by Purina Pro Plan to assist in fostering Gunner’s inner, athletic greatness.
In addition to Moose and Gunner, the event will feature several other canine athletes as they perform a variety of athletic feats, such as flying disc, weave-pole racing and agility obstacles, all within a football-themed performance venue.
