The eaglet has landed: Live video from an eagle’s nest

While it’s a few days later than originally anticipated, the first egg “pipping” (chick breaking out of the egg) has happened, and majestic bald eagles Wray and K01 (aka “Superman”) officially became parents today. The first eaglet is pictured above.

The Pet Collective’s live camera on Catalina Island is officially on “Hatch Watch,” and so far tens of thousands of viewers from around the world have looked on as Wray and K01 have watched over their eggs. This morning’s hatching was the first of three eggs the eagles laid this season. Watch the EagleCam below.
