Black-and-white tuxedo cat found near York Expo Center

This big boy was brought to Heavenly Paws Animal Shelter on Sunday, May 5, after being found on West Poplar Street near the York Expo Center. He was first seen in the area about two weeks ago.
He is mostly black with a white mouth, bib and paws; weighs approximately 15 pounds. He’s neutered but doesn’t have a microchip and wasn’t wearing a collar.

Gray-and-white cat found in Spring Grove area

When this gray-and-white cat was brought to Heavenly Paws Animal Shelter May 2, she had a swollen rear foot and leg. She’s very thin, barely weighs 4 pounds and was filthy and flea-infested. She was found on Walters Hatchery Road in the Spring Grove area.
The people who found her said they saw a similar-looking cat last year, so she might have been on her own for quite a while.
“We took the cat to the vet, and it turns out she was shot with a shotgun. Pellets can be seen in the x-ray,” said Ann Behrendt of Heavenly Paws. “Each of her toes and her wrist are broken. She is too thin and weak to do surgery quite yet; we need to fatten her up and get rid of the infection. She may require her leg to be amputated.”
Behrendt said the cat is amazingly sweet and she’s hoping to find her a safe and loving home. “All she does is purr and head butt and beg for love.”

Gray cat with white markings found April 25 on Gut Road, East Manchester Township

This young adult male gray cat with white markings was found April 25 with an injured leg on Gut Road in East Manchester Township, near the Susquehanna River. He was not neutered and has no microchip or collar. He has since been neutered, and is scheduled to have his leg amputated next week.
“He is extremely sweet,” writes Ann Behrendt of Heavenly Paws Animal Shelter. “His leg is broken clean through at the elbow and is beyond repair. Not sure what is going on, but this is our fourth cat in two weeks to come in with a broken leg.”

‘Clipped’ premieres tonight on Animal Planet

‘Clipped,’ a TV show that follows dog stylist Angela Kumpe of Angela’s Grooming as she uses her imagination to fulfill the requests of her demanding and colorful clients in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Some of those requests include transforming a yellow Lab into a zebra for a circus-themed birthday party, dyeing a bulldog with a football team’s colors for the Super Bowl and more.
