The Maryland SPCA is collecting toys this month for the cats and dogs in its adoption center. The goal is to collect enough toys during the month to entertain the homeless animals entering the shelter throughout the year.
Having toys and treats in the shelter environment helps socialize pets, reduces stress and keeps them healthier.
The shelter hopes to fill an entire dog run with toys and treats by the end of the drive. Click here to view the progress.
