All in the family

Daryll Clark already received a special Christmas present  --  and now he hope it brings him some New Year's luck, too.

The Penn State quarterback has been reunited with his older brother, DeJuan, who lives about 50 minutes from Los Angeles, where Clark and his Nittany Lion teammates have spent the past 10 days preparing for the Rose Bowl.
DeJuan, who is three years older, has never seen Daryll play in person in high school or in college.

But that will change with today's Rose Bowl against USC.

The brothers talk once or twice a week by phone  --  before and after every Penn State game  --  but "I barely ever get a chance to see him,"  Daryll said.

"Every time we get together we just catch up on old times. I like hanging out with my nephew. It's been a real bonus for me, I'm glad that we're out there and he's finally getting a chance to see me play in a live football game."

The two spent Christmas together, and "I ate all his food," Daryll said.

Even better is that his little nephew, D.J., was born on his birthday, Feb. 5.
