The past 16 hours definitely have been rough on the Penn State media covering the Rose Bowl.
Somehow, more than 20 of the contingent became ill on New Year's Eve and through New Year's Day morning -- and it doesn't seem to have anything to do with adult beverages.
The safe guess here is accidental food poisoning, considering the timing, symptoms and number of people affected.
Some thought it may have started with a Wednesday night media buffet dinner or maybe from a bad batch of ice.
The coincidental thing is that the USC players stayed in the same downtown hotel, as they always do, the night before a game.
No word yet if any Trojans are not feeling up to par.
