Lions add another

Penn State received a verbal commitment this week from Olney, Md. cornerback Michael Wallace -- and is now just waiting on his teammate and good friend.

Wallace is about 5-foot-9 and 180 pounds and also had offers from New Mexico, Army, New Hampshire and Towson -- and is not nearly as coveted as teammate Jelani Jenkins, regarded as possibly the top linebacker in the nation.

Jenkins will decide between Penn State, Florida, USC, Notre Dame and Stanford on Feb. 4.

As for Wallace, "He needs to get faster, that's his bigggest thing," said Mike Farrell of Rivals.com "And he's improved in that aspect.

"He's going to have quite a bit of competiton (at cornerback at Penn State), and I think that will make him a beter football player. He's a very smart kid who is willing to mix it up. He's physical."
