Baublitz waiting one more time

Central York’s Kyle Baublitz will only be chained to the sideline, so to speak, for one more game.
The most difficult adjustment for the Penn State freshman defensive end has been never getting to play a snap this season while redshirting and preserving a year of eligibility.
Baublitz spent his fall on the scout team, preparing the starters and backups each week and through Outback Bowl workouts. And he at least certainly looks the part of a force on the edge, a solid but lean enough 6-foot-5 and 260 pounds.
“It just felt weird suiting up and knowing you can’t play,” he said.
At least he didn’t have to worry about coach Joe Paterno mixing up or mispronouncing his name in the heat of a scrimmage or a game, as he’s been known to do for years.
Baublitz laughed when asked what Paterno calls him.
“Usually I just try to stay out of his way.”
He did get a big helping of support from his parents, Steve and Wanda, who drove from York to Tampa to be close to their son this week.
