Penn State’s homecoming game set with Purdue

Penn State’s Oct. 15 homecoming game with Purdue will begin at noon in Beaver Stadium and will be televised by the Big Ten Network, ABC, ESPN or ESPN2.
It is the second announced start time for the season. The Nittany Lions’ Oct. 22 contest at Northwestern is set for 7 p.m. ET and will air on the BTN.
Start times for the Lions’ first two games — against Indiana State on Sept. 2 and against Alabama on Sept. 10 — should be announced by July 1.
Penn State and Purdue are in the Big Ten’s Leaders Division, along with Illinois, Indiana, Ohio State and Wisconsin and will meet annually starting this fall.
The Lions are 65-21-5 all-time on homecoming and 39-6 under coach Joe Paterno. They maintain a 10-3-1 series advantage over Purdue and have defeated the Boilermakers all three times on homecoming.
