Bill O’Brien has been winning over fans … and high school recruits. Wednesday marks the end of his first recruiting class at Penn State.
Wednesday is national signing day, which means high school stars will be sending their written commitments to Penn State throughout the day. We’ll track the class as it develops here, and we’ll end it all with a live chat at 8 p.m. Wednesday to discuss your thoughts on the class, on individual prospects and where the Nittany Lions go from here.
Adam Breneman and Christian Hackenberg certainly started Bill O’Brien’s first recruiting class off with a bang — and held it together through the NCAA sanctions. But there’s much more to this group, and we’ll focus on that, too.
To get warmed up, check out my recruiting overview story here.
And to familiarize yourself with the members of the class, as well as gleaning some other recruiting news, check this out.

Nittany Nation is the place to go for the latest news and rumblings about the Penn State football program. Our team of contributors, led by longtime Nittany Lion beat reporter Frank Bodani, will offer perspectives and insight on PSU from the present and past, along with coverage of York County's unique connections to Penn State football.

Hi, Frank. Saw that Bill O’Brien mentioned he was expecting 15-20 run-ons to supplement the 17 scholarship players that signed with Penn State today. Is that 15-20 run-ons in addition to the X number of run-ons already committed, or 15-20 run-ons total? Thanks. BTW, can’t say enough for these kids. Brimming with Penn State Pride today, thanks to our future Nittany Lions.
The walk-ons keep coming for Bill O’Brien and Penn State. Not sure truly how different this is from previous years but it certainly is more publicized now.
