Penn State to change football jerseys for 2013 season

It appears as if Penn State’s football uniforms are changing yet again.

Though a rather small addition, it certainly is another change for a football look that seemingly had so few for so many years.

Now, the home blues and road game whites will feature an embroidered Nittany Lion logo on the v-neck front next to a Nike swoosh. Lions Pride, Penn State’s merchandize company, shows off the look on its web page in wide receiver Allen Robinson’s No. 8 jersey and tailback Zach Zwinak’s No. 28.

However, we still are not sure if coach Bill O’Brien will keep the names of players on the back of jerseys, as he did last year to honor those who stuck with the program in light of harsh NCAA sanctions.

Fans can order the new replicas from Lions Pride for $90 each, due from Nike in mid-July.
